I am the founder and principal designer of Hunter Home Design Studio LLC, serving both Seattle and Port Townsend, WA. My passion is creating soulful, inviting, and effortlessly sophisticated interiors.
I’m inspired by “organic modern” and “Scandinavian” design. Modern, sleek lines, warm color palettes, contrasted with organic materials, textures and forms. Modern design aesthetics with nature in mind
About Me
I started my design career as a professional home stager in 2007 working for a high-end home staging company and in 2012 started my own home staging business, Hunter Home Staging and Design, LLC. Over the course of my career, I have staged over 800 homes. All shapes, sizes and design styles. As principal designer, my commitment was to to showcase the home in the very best light. To accentuate the beauty and architectural character of the home through the selection of distinct furniture, artwork, textiles and colors for a quick and profitable sale.
Focusing on the Customer Experience
I believe our clients should enjoy and have fun with the design process! My goal is to limit the stress our clients may face when taking on a new interior design project. The key to this is strong project management and communication. It is important that our clients understand and are informed of the design process and timelines. I pride myself on strong project management and communication skills. In addition to my home staging background, I have 12-year professional career working in the film and video industry as an Assistant Director, Production Coordinator, and on set Location Manager. Where projects had to be on time and on budget! I worked on countless number of productions in the greater Seattle area such as Amazing Race, Unsolved Mysteries, MTV, Microsoft, Budweiser, KIRO, and Universal Studios to name a few.
Sophie plays an important role at Hunter Home Design Studio and often does not hold back her opinions on design strategy.
